This print features concept art for one of the most recognizable magical items from the series, The Time Turner, which first appeared in the film Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban™.

A Time-Turner is a special timepiece (resembling an hourglass on a necklace) used for time travel. The volatility of these objects is well known, resulting in the Ministry of Magic encasing Hour-Reversal Charms in the time turners they created, for added stability. The number of times one turns the hourglass corresponds to the number of hours one travels back in time. However, they can only stay in the past for five hours at a time, without the possibility of serious harm to the traveller or to time itself.
