As the days grow darker, and the weather becomes cooler, it signifies the time in which Samhain will be celebrated. A Celtic tradition, Samhain (pronounced SAH-WIN) has traditionally marked the transition between the light and dark halves of the year. The celebration begins at the sunset October 31st and runs until November 1st at sunset.
As part of their Autumn collection, Folklore Candle Company has produced this candle and incorporated the scents of the celebration to take home with you: spiced tart apple cider, crushed autumn leaves underfoot, and cool, damp, earth.
The candles from Folklore Candle Company are hand-poured in Ontario, Canada. They contain coconut soy wax, with hand-blended bespoke fragrance, and crackling wood wick. They are long-burning (approx. 50+ hours – 10oz), vegan, paraben & phthalate free, and non-GMO. Also, because the wax is coconut-soy, once you have finished with the candle, you use soap and water to wash off any wax residue and reuse the jar for storage!
For ideal burn: Always burn candle until there is a full melt pool from edge to edge to prevent tunnelling. Coconut-soy wax burns clean, so if there is smoking, it is because the wick is too long. Be sure to trim the wick between 1/8″ and 1/4″ before each burn.
Size: Each candle has an approximate diameter of 8.5 cm (3.35 inches), and is 10 cm (3.94 inches) tall, including the wooden cover.
